The Cancer Crushing Cuisine program is designed with a focus on preventing and reducing cancer risk. We know that diet plays an important role in a healthy lifestyle, so our program will have a focus on educating our community about the cancer fighting properties and benefits of certain foods and spices.
Starting in June 2019, the Tri-Cities Cancer Center will be partnering with Red Mountain Kitchen in Downtown Kennewick to offer fun and educational Cooking Classes, highlighting the cancer fighting properties of common produce found at our local farmer’s markets throughout the summer and fall. Participants will be educated about the cancer fighting properties of produce and ingredients by a Lourdes Health Dietician and the Tri-Cities Cancer Center’s Naturopathic Physician. Local chef, Kyle Thornhill, will then lead participants in preparing a delicious Cancer Crushing dish to enjoy!
When: Thursday, June 13th | Thursday, August 8th | Thursday, October 10th from 5:30 – 7:30PM
(Coincides with Downtown Kennewick Farmer’s Market)
Where: Red Mountain Kitchen, Downtown Kennewick, 212 West Kennewick Avenue
Cost: $50 per individual per session (includes supplies) / $25 will go towards a donation to the TCCC Foundation in honor of our 25th anniversary
