The Tri-Cities Cancer Center is a community resource for cancer treatment, support, education, and information. It is also a place where hope is intertwined with compassion, due to generous support of the community. Scientific evidence shows that certain types of art can reduce pain, anxiety, and stress. For these reasons, public art displays are becoming prevalent in health care facilities. The Tri-Cities Cancer Center understands that art is essential to the healing process and is developing a free, self-guided, art walk in its public areas for patients and families to enjoy.
The Tri-Cities Cancer Center would like to invite local artists using any traditional media to submit 1 – 3 art pieces to display in public areas of the Center for the duration of 24 months (installment April 2017 – April 2019).
